I didn't spend 54 minutes watching clothes wash. I spent 54 minutes with my youngest son. As a parent, you have to take advantage of those times. I did... and I am proud of it. As a matter of fact, we might watch the grass grow (although our grass is dormant at the moment). I have a minor in biology... I'm pretty sure I can explain to him all the inner workings of grass growing. (During photosynthesis plants convert CO2 into O2... we breath the O2 and convert it to CO2... the plants change water and CO2 into sugar they can use for food... it's an almost endless cycle...) but... like many things... you just don't get it. How about letting your teachers off a 1/2 day to go Christmas shopping, out for lunch, etc. I'm sure they know how to make good use of THEIR time.
